Follow the steps below to file your simplified income tax return.
Step 1
Before you begin, make sure you have all your tax slips and the documents you need to claim the solidarity tax credit.
Log in to My Account for individuals. (If you’re not registered, see below.)
Step 2
Click Simplified 2024 Income Tax Return (available March 10).
Step 3
Answer the questions.
Step 4
Confirm the information in your return and click Send. It’s just that easy!

As part of a pilot project, we’re giving a small number of people the chance to do their taxes online using a new service.
If you’ve already filed your return, you can ignore the letter.

This service is for the Québec return only.
However, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) offers a similar service for the federal return. If you’re eligible, you’ll get an invitation from the CRA in February 2025.
You may also be eligible for the free income tax assistance program.
If you have a modest income and simple tax situation, a volunteer can help you complete your income tax returns and claim all the benefits and tax credits you’re entitled to.
If you want, you can use the new simplified return service. If not, simply use the paper return.
