The register lists various types of property, including:

Revenu Québec returns an average of $32 million in unclaimed property to owners every year.
On average, there are about 400,000 items in the register, for a total value of about $430 million.

Property can be forgotten when someone moves, changes jobs, dies, etc.

Use our online service in My Account for individuals. It’s the fastest way to claim property under your name (that is, property you own) in the register of unclaimed property.
Note that you cannot use our online service if you are the heir or succession liquidator. Instead, complete form BD-81.3-V, Claim of a Financial Asset by an Heir or Liquidator of a Succession.

Property worth less than $500 must be claimed within ten years. There is no deadline for property worth $500 or more.
